We are Pjotr and Mark — two brothers, and the hands behind every Frost&Iron frame.
How it started
The idea for Frost&Iron began in 2024, while Mark was transporting a horse to its new owners.
It was one of those moments when a new chapter begins, while everything that came before stays with you.
During the drive, Mark’s wife shared an idea she had been thinking about. Horses have always been her life, and as a dressage rider, she had been looking for a meaningful way to preserve the memory of the day she competed with her horse at the 2022 World Championship for Young Horses in the Netherlands.
Not just a photograph.
Not just a ribbon.
Something made from a real part of their journey.
A horseshoe.
When Mark heard the idea, it made complete sense.
A horseshoe is not simply something a horse wears. It has been there through the training, the seasons, the quiet moments, the victories, and the goodbyes. It carries marks that cannot be recreated — and memories that cannot be replaced.
That idea became Frost&Iron.
Built by hand in Belgium
For the first two years, Mark made every frame himself in Belgium — cleaning, polishing, engraving, assembling, and packing each piece by hand.
Those first orders revealed just how much meaning a single horseshoe can hold.
Some arrived worn from years of use. Some carried memories of competitions and milestones. Others marked the end of a chapter or the loss of a deeply loved horse.
Each one was a reminder that Frost&Iron was never simply about making a beautiful frame.
A small family atelier, now in Estonia
In 2026, Pjotr joined Frost&Iron, and the workshop moved from Belgium to Estonia.
What began with one pair of hands became something we now build together.
Mark takes care of the brand, customer communication, and the personal details behind every order. Pjotr leads the hands-on work in our workshop — preparing the horseshoes, building the frames, adding the details, and bringing each keepsake to life.
Our roles are different, but the responsibility is shared.
We discuss the details, make decisions together, and approach every order with the same understanding: the horseshoe entrusted to us may be deeply personal and impossible to replace.
We are not a large company.
We do not mass-produce.
And we do not treat orders like numbers.
We are two brothers preserving one story at a time.

Some clients choose a mirror-polished finish. Others prefer to keep more of the original marks, darker tones, or natural character.
